Starbucks Is Giving Out Free Hot Chocolate Every Weekend in December - PEOPLE

Starbucks is making this season even sweeter.

The coffee company announced that it is giving out a free hot chocolate with every grande drink order every weekend in December, so customers can share a warm beverage over the holiday season. The freebie comes in their "short" size, which is 8 ounces.

The offer is limited to one free beverage per order — but takes place every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 31.

The festive offer from Starbucks began on Dec. 9.

Customers are able to receive the deal exclusively with orders placed in store and in the drive-through.

This latest deal from Starbucks comes as part of a series of festive offers from the chain during the month of December.

On Thursday, Starbucks began offering customers 50% off any drink, which will continue for every Thursday of this month from noon to 6 p.m.

Reward members can access the 50% off coupon in the Starbucks app on Dec. 14, Dec. 21 and Dec. 28.

All Starbucks beverages are included in the discount deal, giving customers the perfect opportunity to taste the coffee company’s newly-released four holiday cold foams.

The holiday cold foams are inspired by four fan-favorite Starbucks seasonal drinks: peppermint chocolate cream cold foam, sugar cookie cream cold foam, chestnut praline cream cold foam and caramel brulée cream cold foam. The holiday cold foam options as a customization to any cold beverage for an additional charge.

Four Christmas-themed hot beverage cup designs are also available over the holiday season, which have been provided to customers since Nov. 2.

The festive designs include a party plaid-printed cup, a peppermint mocha design with swirly green, red and pink waves, a ribbon-printed spool cup emulating wrapped Christmas gifts, and a cup decorated in printed bauble wrap.
