Care for a cup of coffee? Google paid tribute to flat-white coffee, a popular espresso-based beverage, with a colourful, animated illustration. This delicious beverage originated in Australia and New Zealand.
The term ‘flat white’ was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2011. “Today’s animated Doodle celebrates the flat white, a beloved coffee drink of steamed milk poured over a shot of espresso. Many speculate the drink was first served in Australia and New Zealand during the 1980s when the drink popped up on menus in Sydney and Auckland around the same time,” wrote Google on its website.
