By Poulomi Saha: Spicejet has grounded two of its pilots for eating gujiya and beverages kept precariously on a critical console in the cockpit on Holi. As per Spicejet officials, the pilots jeopardised flight safety by doing this.
The incident was reported onboard a Delhi to Guwahati SpiceJet flight on Holi (March 8, 2023).

According to the information received by India Today, both pilots were taken off the roster and an inquiry into the matter is pending.
Commenting on the incident, a spokesperson for the SpiceJet airline said the company has a strict policy for the consumption of food inside the cockpit which is adhered to by all flight crew.
"Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken upon completion of the investigation," he added.
